Speth-Emil-1903-Samar

A photo of Victoria Road in the British Concession area of Tientsin, China decorated with various International flags, bunting and Chinese lanterns. The road was named in honor of the Queen Victoria and connected the French Concession (behind the photographer) with the German and Japanese Concessions down the street. One block to the left was the International Bund and Pei-Ho River which connected Peking to the Gulf of Po-Hai. ,f
